Around 11:55 we handled a small kitchen fire in the first block of S Pitt St. The tenant was fortunate enough to have a dry chemical extinguisher on hand and used it efficiently. Later on in the evening the crew handled a gas leak on S West St. Just after picking up from that we headed to Cumberland County 911 for the annual Fire and EMS memorial service. They recognize the members who have passed away over the last year as well as any line of duty deaths from the various departments in the county. This year Rick Cramer and Tom “Vogie” Vogelsong were recognized from Company 41.

Today we handled an inside investigation in the Borough and did a quick test on some newly painted hydrants to be sure the flows are accurate.
