Nace Family with the passing of "Chet" last evening. I believe he was 83 years old.
Chet joined the Union Fire Company in 1958. He basically grew up in the firehouse with his Dad Merl being one of the career drivers at the Union from the 1940's-1960's. They lived next door to the firehouse. Chet was very active in the late 50's into the 1960's. He served as Chief Hose Director (Captain) and Assistant Foreman (Assistant Chief) in the mid 60's.
Chet was a well know musician in the Carlisle area for several decades with his band the Larks. The band played at many local venues and several members of the fire company also played with the band.

Resy in Peace Chet...The Union still exists. We are sure he is proud of that!
