Yesterday around 08:00 Engine 241 / Tanker 41 and mutual aid companies responded to UPS on Ames Dr in Dickinson Twp for a reported building fire. Initial information reported a 53’ trailer was on fire and had extended into the building. Chief 45 arrived and requested the first alarm due to a large volume of smoke / fire showing and sprinklers activated in the building. Engine 241 arrived shortly after deploying lines to attack the fire in the trailer and around the dock doors. Lines were stretched inside by additional crews as well as they arrived. Crews encountered a large volume of smoke inside but the sprinkler system held the fire in check at the door resulting in minimum extension. The trailer and area around the dock door were destroyed, crews were able to contain the fire to the trailer of origin and dock area. Crews remained on scene for around 1.5 hours overhauling and ventilating the warehouse. *Exact cause Is still being investigated *
Early this morning around 02:10 Engine 241 and UAS39 (drone team) responded to Army Heritage Drive in Middlesex Township to assist Middlesex Police with an accident investigation.
Shortly after the crash around 03:51 crews responded to Buchannon Drive for a commercial fire alarm. During the investigation water began leaking from the ceiling. It was discovered a shower drain was leaking causing the detectors to short. |
