| Much like our surrounding departments Company 41 responded to over 50 incidents this past weekend. Several severe storms passed through the area prompting the majority of the calls. Despite the holiday weekend the station remained well staffed with up to four of our units out at a time handling calls.
Several small structure fires and outside fires were handled. Along with our routine calls for service crews handled an abundance of storm related calls including vehicles/occupants stranded in water. Brush 41 responded to Deer Run Campground as well to assist Company 36 with heavy storm damages. Crews responded to several auto accidents including an overturned vehicle on I-81 and one entrapment (below).
Friday evening Engine 241 / Utility 41 / C141 responded to W Old York Rd in Dickinson Twp to assist Company 36 with an auto accident with entrapment (pictured below). 41s crew manned a safety line and assisted 36 where they were needed during extrication. The patient was flown via air medical.
The engine company handled another 8 calls for service so far today. We are at 712 calls for 2026!
Thank you to our membership and their families for sacrificing your time on a busy holiday weekend! Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families who have been impacted and lost love ones by these storms. Several areas are still without power.
